I like to think of myself as an idea guy who’s always on the verge of launching a multi-million-dollar product idea. Today, I’m going to share one of those ideas with you.

This particular idea came to me one Saturday night while I was home alone, sittin’ on the throne, takin’ care of business and day-dreamin’.

For those of you unfamiliar with scrapbookin’, here it is in a nut-shell:

Scrapbookin’ – also known as ‘croppin’ – is a pseudo-hobby that ladies use as an excuse to get together at each other’s houses at least once a week. For hours at a time, they cut and glue photos in a scrapbook while drinkin’ and eatin’ and talkin’ and carryin’ on. When they’re done – and they never seem to finish! – they walk away, having turned treasured family memories into cra… – err, uh – scrap-books.

Because my wife had been spending way too much time and money on this hobby, I came up with a way to both lower her costs and improve her efficiency. It involves two products, both of which are available off the shelf. One product has been doing its job in American homes for several years. The other is new. Now, let me explain how they can be used together:

I know for a fact that you can pick up a pack of Charmin Ultra Bathroom Tissue at Wal-Mart for about five bucks. I also know that, after you print photos on the new 3M Post-it Picture Paper, you can peel the back off the photo and stick the photo to anything! Therein lies the solution to expensive scrapbookin’.

Women can quit going to those parties and start printing their family photos on sticky-back picture paper. Then, instead of spending hours at a time gluing photos into scrap-books, they can just peel and stick the photos onto the sheets – I like to call them “pages” – of Charmin. When you get tired of looking at the photos or you get divorced and never want to see any photos of your ex again, just flush ‘em down the drain!

And there you have it: my handy-dandy “Scrapbook on a Roll” — a device also known as “The Crapbook.”
