The 2008 presidential race gained another candidate today — Republican Rep. Ron Paul of Texas.
“The American people now have a real conservative in the race for president they can support,” stated Kent Snyder, chairman of the Ron Paul campaign. “Congressman Paul has a long and consistent record of a true conservative; a record we are eager to put against any candidate for the Republican nomination.”
Knowing little about Paul aside from the fact that he has more MySpace.com friends — 34,000 at last count — than any other Republican candidate in the race, the staff of the WARNING LABELS ON POLITICIANS campaign added the Texan to its roster of politicians asked to display warning labels on advertising, literature and signage related to their campaigns. In his case, Paul will be asked to display Warning: Ron Paul labels.
If you would like to encourage Ron Paul and other candidates to display warning labels, do it with merchandise from the WARNING LABELS ON POLITICIANS shop.
Since writing the information above, I’ve had a change of heart and have written several Ron Paul posts.

Research Ron Paul a little bit. I think the warning label should read “Warning – Ron Paul is hazardous to special interest, people who wish to infringe on others rights, and those who want to seize private property.” This guy is not a politician; he is a statesman.

Chris, If you’re right, then hat’s off to Ron Paul. The “Warning Labels On Politicians” campaign is, however, an “equal opportunity” enterprise that won’t take sides. Feel free to post more pro-Paul info in the comments section. Bob

I was doing a Google image search on Ron Paul, and your Ron Paul warning showed up… and I found it really funny, only because of how inaccurate it is.
Ron Paul wants to do the opposite of every item on the list. “raise taxes”? he wants to ELIMINATE the I.R.S :)
Please refer to ronpaul2008.com for real and accurate information about Dr. Ron Paul…

Orlandoinsane — Obviously, you’re not a regular at my blog. If you were, you would have seen a June 8 post — Blogger Converts, Endorses Ron Paul — in which I announced my conversion. Check it out here: http://bobmccarty.wordpress.com/2007/06/08/blogger-converts-endorses-ron-paul/ . Also, type “Ron Paul” in the search box above right, and you’ll find many more pro-Ron Paul articles and merchandise links. Thanks for posting. — Bob

So why not remove this ridiculous “warning label” if everything stated on it is completely FALSE. None of it is accurate. Do you support Ron Paul or not? If not, why have this crap available for people to see, when it’s obviously a LIE ?

Justin — I modified the post above to partially satisfy your hissyfit. As for it being a lie, you’re wrong. All politicians deserve a warning label…even Ron Paul. — Bob

Thanks for striking your warning. Ron Paul may be America’s last hope to restore the republic before it’s gone forever.

I appreciate you’ve had a change of heart, but this was one of the first images that came up on a search for ron paul in Google Images.
My immediate reaction was ; what _ _ _hole made this?
I understand what you mean about not trusting polititians, but Ron Paul can hardly be classed as a typical polititian – he wants to massively REDUCE the power of the state! He’s like an anti-polititian!
Ron Paul is a glimmer of hope for America and he needs all the support and positive energy as possible.
Its easy to be blindly cynical, and make blanket statements, it takes no intelligence! I think you should remove this image completely, unless you want to live in a police state?
I am disappointed :(
