Oakland radio station KCBS-AM 740 reported hundreds of anti-war protestors gathered in Oakland yesterday for a “town hall style meeting” led by Rep. Barbara Lee (D-CA) and actor-turned-activist Sean Penn.
It was Penn who attracted the most attention when he read aloud a profanity-laden letter he had written to President Bush. Among other things, he called for the president to send his daughters, Jenna and Barbara, to serve in the Middle East.
