CNSNews.com reports today that attorneys for New York Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton are trying to keep her out of a lawsuit that may ultimately force her to testify under oath about an alleged violation of campaign finance laws in a case involving Hollywood businessman Peter Paul.

Why should Clinton avoid testifying? Because her lawyers fear she might experience another episode of Partzheimer’s, the rare memory-loss affliction that tends to affect people in the public spotlight — politicians, movie stars and high-profile corporate executives — more often than any other group of individuals. Such an episode could impact her presidential aspirations.

This breaking news seems to lend credibility to a March 21 post at Bob McCarty Writes in which an unnamed doctor described how Partzheimer’s — also known as “Convenient Memory-Loss Syndrome” — can go undiagnosed for years. In fact, he said, it should have been spotted 11 years earlier when then-First Lady Clinton was questioned under oath about her work on behalf of Little Rock’s Madison Guaranty Savings and Loan. Out of fear for his life, that doctor preferred not to have his name or city of residence published in Bob McCarty Writes.

In the March 21 post, the doctor cited the fact that Senator Clinton was unable on 99 occasions to recall what she might have done while working for the Rose Law Firm on behalf of Madison and pointed out that her memory loss issues were well-publicized in a Sept. 20, 2000, CNN article. Still, it took more than a decade for anyone in the medical community to come forward with the diagnosis.

The doctor added that many of the candidates in the 2008 presidential race have shown a propensity toward showing symptoms similar to those of the senator.
