George Tenet’s book, At the Center of the Storm: My Years at the CIA, doesn’t go on sale until Monday. It seems, however, that publicists have been working overtime to stimulate headlines to drive sales. And, if news articles about the book are accurate, it’s full of salacious details the Bush Administration will not like.
News media outlets worldwide have given top billing to Tenet’s claims, including, among other things that there was no “serious” debate during the days leading to a post-9/11 U.S. invasion of Iraq and that the Bush Administration used him as a scapegoat when it cited “bad intelligence” as a basis for decision-making.
Any way you slice it, this book — and probably a movie one day — is certain to entertain and inform! To order a copy of At the Center of the Storm: My Years at the CIA, click here.
