Hollywood Liberal Reveals True Colors via Interview

May 3rd, 2007 · No Comments

In a recent interview for the Rocky Mountain News, reporter Todd Hartman’s asked Laurie David 5 questions, one of which blatantly exposed how many Hollywood liberals think.

David, you might recall, is the Academy Award-winning producer behind former vice president-turned global warming activist Al Gore’s wildly successful piece of fiction, an inconvenient truth. She is also recognizable for having accompanied “One-Sheet” Sheryl Crow on a recent two-week Stop Global Warming College Tour.

David’s answer to one of the questions was most revealing.

“If you could have dinner with Sen. James Inhofe (R-Okla.), who called global warming the ‘greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people,’” Hartman asked, “what would you say to him?”

David responded:

“There’s something in my heart that makes me believe if I could get 10 minutes with these guys, I could change their mind. I would love to have dinner with Inhofe. We’re at the point where we have to do something big to stop global warming. I would want him to watch the movie. I would pop the popcorn. I would pick up the check (for dinner).”

The Hollywood producer’s response simply serves to prove what those of the conservative bent already know about liberals: They can be bought and think everyone else (i.e., people like Senator Inhofe) must be willing to be bought, too.

Fortunately, Inhofe is a strong conservative with standards much higher than David’s. Rumor has it the Oklahoma Republican even wears an I DON’T LISTEN TO HOLLYWOOD! t-shirt under his suit. Keep up the good work, Senator!
