Is the United States ready for a tongue stud-wearing First Lady? Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) is hoping so. I am not.

An article published today on the Fox News web site gives the world a glimpse into the world of Kucinich and his British-born bride, Elizabeth, who does indeed sport a tongue stud, described in the article as “a bar with two delicate balls on either side.”

Believe it or not, that’s not the only unusual aspect about The Couple Kucinich. For instance:

There is a 31-year difference in their ages (He’s 60, and she’s 29);

They come from different parts of the world (He’s from Cleveland, while she from London); and

They see the world from vantage points eight inches apart (i.e., he’s 5 feet 4 inches tall, while she tops out at 6 feet, depending upon the type of shoe she wears).

In a January post at Bob McCarty Writes, I included another writer’s description of Kucinich: “…at five feet seven inches and 140 pounds, he looks more like a jockey than a head of state.”

Though Elizabeth is described as a “6-foot-tall willowy redhead” who “towers over her diminutive husband”, she appears to be on the same level when it comes to wackiness. For some good laughs, I recommend you read the complete article.
