News reports show long-shot, dark-horse Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul finished third in a GOP straw poll conducted amidst rain showers today at the Illinois State Fair.
Only Mitt Romney (40 percent) and Fred Thompson (20 percent) finished ahead of Paul, the nine-term congressman from Texas (19 percent). Rudy Giuliani and John McCain finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Why isn’t the headline “Mitt Romney finishes first in Illinois Straw Poll”? Ron Paul got beat by Romney and a guy that’s not even in the race yet.

Braden — The simple answer to your question is this: “BECAUSE IT’S MY BLOG, AND I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT TO WITH IT!!” Any questions? — Bob

Actually, your title should have been “Hillary didn’t make the Top Ten, Nutcracker Or Not!”
Of course you can respond that it’s your blog, or that she wasn’t in the Republican straw poll, or that the nutcracker is probably cheap plastic and will break on the first nut it tries to crack…the possibilities are endless, and I digress.
