The Anti-Christian Lawyers Union’s American Civil Liberties Union seems to be on a t-shirt kick lately, and I’m worried.
Yesterday, I read a news article about an ACLU client’s court “victory” over the federal government. Apparently, the ACLU announced, the federal government has agreed to pay $80,000 to a couple from West Virginia who had been arrested after refusing to cover t-shirts they were wearing that bore anti-President Bush messages. The news comes one week after the ACLU issued this news release:
The American Civil Liberties Union and New York Civil Liberties Union filed a federal civil rights lawsuit charging that a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) official and JetBlue Airways illegally discriminated against an American resident based solely on the Arabic message on his t-shirt and his ethnicity.
As a purveyor of fine, message-bearing t-shirts and other merchandise at The Bob McCarty Shop, I fear being targeted by someone these low-brow liberal lawyers agree to represent. After all, my t-shirts carry messages with which, I suspect, the typical ACLU client will disagree.
What if one of Rev. Al Gore’s global warming activists decides he’s had enough with all of my skepticism about the former vice president’s efforts? Will the ACLU take his case and come after me?
And what if a supporter of Barack Hussein Obama takes offense over t-shirt designs bearing the Illinois senator and presidential candidate’s name in a less-than-favorable light? Will the ACLU will take his case and come after me?
My legal team is on alert, so stay tuned to Bob McCarty Writes for legal updates as they happen.

Seriously? I’m pretty sure the ACLU defends your right to be an idiot. The ACLU would go after the government about your t-shirts, not you. And you know that, demagogue.
