Hillary Clinton’s Latest Fundraising Scandal Widens

September 12th, 2007 · 3 Comments

The New York Daily News reports in an article today that FBI agents are collecting evidence in the widening scandal related to Sen. Hillary Clinton’s involvement with felon-turned-fundraiser Norman Hsu.

Partzheimer’sUnder the headline, Team Clinton can’t explain ignoring warnings on Hsu, writers James Gordon Meek and Michael McAuliff of the newspaper’s Washington, D.C., bureau report that officials with Clinton’s presidential campaign couldn’t explain yesterday why it blew off warnings about Hsu.

They couldn’t explain? Or they couldn’t risk explaining? I’m betting they’ll opt to fall back on the Partzheimer’s defense that’s worked for them so well in the past.

Regardless of how things pan out, this growing scandal will join a long list of others that have resulted in the former first lady becoming the most-investigated person in U.S. history.
