Here’s the Scoop: Today, I learned Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield will travel to Iowa Oct. 17 and 18 to rally Iowans who have signed the Caucus 4 Priorities’ so-called “Priorities Pledge.” The kicker? These liberal ice cream purveyors from Vermont, along with their C4P cohorts, are resorting to giving away free ice cream in order to attract people to their events.

I have to hand it to them for recognizing the fact that most Americans, especially smart Iowans who would otherwise not waste ten seconds to listen to their ideas, find it difficult to resist any offer of free ice cream — even when it comes from liberals who are making the offer only after finding themselves unable to offer truly worthwhile solutions for the challenges that face the United States.

If you’re a conservative and/or a Republican living in Des Moines, Iowa City or Davenport, I recommend you accept their offer of free ice cream and consume as much of it as possible, thereby doing your albeit-small part to cut into the company’s bottom line as much as possible without supporting their left-wing liberal ideology.
