In today’s American Minute, Wiliam J. “Bill” Federer highlights a 207-year-old prayer:
On Nov. 1, 1800, John Adams became the first U.S. President to move into the White House. The following day he wrote a letter to his wife, Abigail, in which he composed a beautiful prayer. A portion of that prayer was inscribed on the mantlepiece in the State Dining Room by President Franklin D. Roosevelt. It reads: “I pray Heaven to bestow the best of blessings on this house and all that shall hereafter inhabit it. May none but honest and wise men ever rule under this roof.”
Amidst all of the mudslinging and name-calling that seems to dominate the modern-day presidential election process, President Adams’ prayer remains as timely today as it did during our nation’s early years. Pray that the 2008 presidential election process will produce an “honest and wise” man — not a woman like Hillary Clinton — to serve as president.

Yawp…Hillary’s track record of honesty disqualifies her, no question.
