"Yikes! I Might Be...Militia!"
For some interesting news about Russia under the thumb of President Vladimir Putin, I turn to our friends at La Russophobe who report this morning about foreigners being “purged” from the country that’s beginning to look more and more like the Soviet Union of the Cold War Era:
The Moscow Times reports on barbaric bedlam as Russia cracks down on the presence of foreigners with typically insane, outrageous, offensive results. Russia is saying in the clearest terms to foreigners: “We hate you. Get out.” And then it is surprised to find itself friendless and alone, surrounded by enemies. What a country!
After reading the piece and many La Russophobe articles during the past year, I’ve concluded that former KGB head Putin will never truly allow his people to live in freedom.

Putin is an unrepentant KGB officer. He pines away for the days of Soviet domination … and it’s pretty clear that he wants to be the new Lenin and rebuild the bloc.
On the other hand … I’m going to get the “Freedom” mug for my Cold Warrior father — a retired USAF lt. colonel, Vietnam vet, and B-52 pilot.
