Andrew Meyer’s famous quote, “Don’t Taze Me, Bro!” finished in the top spot as the most memorable quote of 2007, according to a report on Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends program this morning.

The University of Florida student gained worldwide attention for uttering that phrase shortly before being tazed by campus police officers for failing to comply with the officers’ instructions during a John Kerry speaking event at the school. His statement went viral a short time later via this YouTube video.

Immediately following the event, I seized the moment by coming up with the idea for and launching the Don’t Taze Me, Bro! line of merchandise. That lead to numerous radio appearances around the country, to having Mancow show off one of my shirts to a nationwide audience on Fox & Friends and to healthy sales of t-shirts and related merchandise to people around the world. After reading that new French President Nicolas Sarkozy planned to give tasers to every law enforcement officer in his country, I even launched a French-language version of the shirt, Ne me taze pas, bro!
