Today’s assassination of former Pakistani Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto marks the second time in 56 years that a “first” prime minister of Pakistan has been assassinated. While Bhutto the first female prime minister of Pakistan, the Southwest Asian nation’s first prime minister, Liaquat Ali Khan, was assassinated in October 1951, barely four years after taking office.Liaquat Ali Khan Photo
