I received an e-mail from Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee this afternoon, two days ahead of the Iowa Caucuses. In case you didn’t receive it, the text of his email appears below:

Happy New Year from the campaign trail!

There are great crowds on the campaign trail this morning. Look at this video that a supporter shot from an event we just completed at a Pizza Ranch in Sergeant Bluff at 9 AM this morning!

We received good news from the Des Moines Register last evening in the form of a new poll showing us ahead of Governor Romney. That said, we can’t take anything for granted. We must make certain every Huckabee supporter turns out on January 3 for the Caucus. If you live in Iowa, please check with your friends and neighbors and make sure they Caucus for us on January 3. I am very grateful for the avalanche of comments we received on our blog about the negative attack ad we decided not to run. I can tell you here in Sergeant Bluff almost every person I meet wants to thank me for making that decision. Iowa wants to hear about our ideas. They want to see conviction. They are tired of the negative attacks.

Are you planning on watching our webcast tonight from the Val Air Ballroom in Des Moines? The event will air at 7:30 pm central time and promises to be a great time. Chuck Norris will also be there as will our campaign team, my wife Janet, Bob VanderPlaats, Governor Beasley, Senator Hutchison and my daughter Sarah. Plus we expect a crowd of 500 cheering supporters!
