It’s not often that I cite anyone from Hollywood in this blog, especially for saying something profound and quoteworthy. Today, however, I quote legendary film producer Cecil B. DeMille and the words he shared at the opening of his blockbuster film, The Ten Commandments, in 1956:
“Man has made 32 million laws since the Commandments were handed down to Moses on Mount Sinai…but he has never improved on God’s law…They are the charter and guide of human liberty, for there can be no liberty without the law.”
Though DeMille passed away on this date in 1959, his words are worth repeating as Americans endure yet another tumultuous election year and endeavor to select the 44th president of the United States.

We always liked that movie, the special effects were amazing for the time. A classic.
Well hubby and I are home now and he is doing great after his heart attack. Doesn’t matter if you are young or old, illness can hit when you least expect it.
