Ten Reasons Why Arnold Endorsed John McCain

January 31st, 2008 · 5 Comments

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s endorsement early this afternoon of John McCain inspired me to formulate Ten Reasons Why Arnold Endorsed John McCain, based upon some of the most popular movies in which “The Governator” starred:

John McCain Photo1. McCain has been referred to by some as the “comeback kid” after his campaign bounced back after nearly imploding this summer. In a similar vein, Schwarzenegger’s last film before being elected governor wasThe Kid and I.

2. McCain’s presidential campaign involves a great deal of travel; therefore, it makes sense for Schwarzenegger to get involved since he did go Around the World in 80 Days only three years ago.

3. McCain’s record as a war hero dovetails nicely with Schwarzenegger’s on-screen persona as the The Last Action Hero.

Collateral Damage DVD4. McCain expects to encounter resistance from voters who know he’s not a true conservative, so he’ll rely upon Schwarzenegger to help him deal with the Collateral Damage.

5. McCain worked with complex and sophisticated machinery years ago as a Navy fighter pilot, but he barely knows how to use a computer today. He’ll rely upon Schwarzenegger to help him deal with the Rise of the Machines.

6. McCain knows he’s going to have to raise a lot of money quickly to compete with Mitt Romney, and Schwarzenegger has ties to people whose pockets Jingle All the Way.

7. McCain’s record in Washington, D.C., includes some black marks he wishes he could erase. Who better to call upon to do that than Schwarzenegger (a.k.a., “Eraser“)?

The Running Man DVD8. McCain knows that this will likely be his last chance to run for the White House, and Schwarzenegger knows a lot about what it’s like to be the The Running Man.

9. McCain knows that, in the event of a victory in November, he’ll need someone to help him deal with members of Congress. Fortunately, Schwarzenegger once served as a Kindergarten Cop.

True Lies DVD10. McCain seems to have no problem stretching the truth — or even telling outright lies. Schwarzenegger has Total Recall and can help the Arizona senator spin the issues into True Lies.

The way I look at it, it’s the same as Britney endorsing Paris.

Fabulous observation! And for more troubling news about McCain, take a look at the newest post on this blog: McCain Advisor Is Former Mexican Cabinet Member.

Huckabee is a real back stabber if he ends up as McCain’s VP.

Mick, I’m about to the point where I’d vote for a monkey as long as he was honest and patriotic.
