So you want honesty and transparency in government? Why don’t you set the bar high as a start and stop hiding behind a screen name while making accusations. Surely, there aren’t so many publishers eager to sign you to a book contract that you have to hide behind anonymity on the web — are there?

What a frickin’ joke. i am writing a book about the rampant corruption in Kirkwood’s City government. The bribes and kickbacks to build that disgusting strip mall will be revealed. Moreover, do you know hoe many times Shawn Hornbeck went to the Kirkwood Imo’s? I know for a fact that he was there numerous times when Kirkwood law enforcement went to pick up their pizzas.

This is not the Kirkwood I grew up in. The city has been overrun by greedy, selfish ingrates like Deanne Lane, who would not tell the truth about anything if a gun was pointed at her lying head.

The truth will be revealed!!!

DEANNA — Those are pretty harsh words for someone who is likely basing her opinion solely upon limited exposure to news reports. I know people in Kirkwood and truly believe people in that community are no different than people anywhere else in this country. I’m sure there are some racists, but the vast majority of people there are not.

Jane — I think you’re right when it comes to your statement about East St. Louis. We might, however, differ on the reason for that. I suspect it’s because — like it or not — shooting crimes are much less common in Kirkwood than they are in East St. Louis. Thanks for your comment.

I feel for the families of the victims. I can’t help but feel that this incident has been given a ridiculous amount of media attention. There’s almost a underlying message that this happened in Kirkwood and people there are better than the rest of us. Kirkwood has a lot of money. That’s why this has been given so much attention. If this happened in East St. Louis, we would have heard very little about it.

This is terrible. Im glad this man got shot and didn’t have the chance to plead insanity. I personaly think the police department deserves a big slap on the back for their bravery in killing the “terrorist”
