A shopping mall in Waukegan, Ill., suffered significant damage when an explosion lifted the building’s roof, injuring at least six people, according to a Fox News Channel report moments ago.
USA TODAY reported one local official said that the concussion of the explosion caused damage on the opposite side of a four-lane highway.
Now the speculation begins.
Was it a gas explosion? Natural gas? Or was terrorism the probable cause of the blast at the mall? It was, after all, only 15 months ago when Derrick Shareef was arrested and charged with conspiring to attack Christmas shoppers with hand grenades at a suburban Chicago shopping mall.
