Hate Hurts America Hates Free Speech

April 9th, 2008 · 1 Comment

This morning, the Hate Hurts America Community and Interfaith Coalition used a news release to tackle two objectives. While the “headline” objective was to announce that HHA had launched a re-designed website, the primary objective seems to have been reminding the world that HHA members think Michael Savage is targeting Muslims with on-air “hate speech” and wants him off the air.

Rather than engage in civil discourse to discuss their objections to the often-inflammatory language used by the conservative radio talk show host, HHA members — including the Council on American-Islamic Relations (a.k.a., “CAIR”) — prefer instead to wage a campaign aimed at squelching his voice entirely by pressuring his advertisers to withdraw their support of his program. So much for free speech.

Personally, I hate the thought of people like Savage being taken off the air by the likes of HHA. If you agree with me, I recommend you visit MichaelSavage.com and make a contribution to help fund his ongoing legal battle with CAIR.

My teeth represent me. They tried everything when I was a child to make them straight. I told my father, ‘If you’re going to put braces again on me, I am going to kill myself.’ He said, ‘Fair enough.’ Now they are as crooked as my soul.AsiaArgentoAsia Argento, Italian filmmaker/actress
