The Pin is B(ar)ack on Obama’s Chest

April 16th, 2008 · 2 Comments

Despite telling ABC News in October he had wasn’t going to wear an American flag pin on his chest, it appears the pin is back on the chest of Barack Obama, according to Hot Air, American Thinker and others in the blogosphere.

In case you don’t recall his exact words back in October, here they are:

“You know, the truth is that right after 9/11, I had a pin,” Obama said. “Shortly after 9/11, particularly because as we’re talking about the Iraq War, that became a substitute for I think true patriotism, which is speaking out on issues that are of importance to our national security, I decided I won’t wear that pin on my chest.

“Instead,” he said, “I’m going to try to tell the American people what I believe will make this country great, and hopefully that will be a testimony to my patriotism.”

Makes me wonder how long it will be before those in the mainstream news media will report on this flip-flop by the Democrat presidential candidate.

Fluff sans substance has always been the mainstay of either Obama’s or Clinton’s campaigns. Getting caught in outright lies and disingenuous deceptions worries them not; their lackeys in the press will try to spin or bury the lies.

Although it is better to do than to say, just stop wearing the flag lapel pin wasn’t very clever, you should do what you want, if you believe in it, regardless of what other people might think.
