On the heels of the tragedy that takes place ever year in the form of tax deadline day, I was pleased to come across the video below. In it, Dan Mitchell of the Center for Freedom and Prosperity Foundation explains how the current tax system is deeply flawed and argues, with a few caveats, that either the flat tax or the national sales tax — sometimes known as the “Fair Tax” — would be a substantial improvement over the current internal revenue code.
