The Myth of Human-Caused Global Warming

April 21st, 2008 · 2 Comments

Earlier today, I shared news about food rationing in the United States. Upon discovery of that news, I began researching the issues of food supplies and shortages further. While I found several articles offering glimpses into the growing worldwide food crisis, only one pointed to the root cause: The myth of man-made global warming.

Below are a handful of news reports from around the world, all published within the past few days, that deal with different aspects of the present food crisis:

A global food shortage threatens the lives of millions. — The Telegraph, U.K.

The world is an odd place. A tight global food situation with record-high grain prices presents the possibility of increasing malnutrition, perhaps famine, in parts of Africa and South Asia. — Christian Science Monitor, U.S.A.

The world is facing its worst food shortage in three decades — and so is South Africa. The price of rice has more than doubled in a year. The prices of wheat, maize, pasta, soya and other staple foods have soared, unleashing food riots in different parts of the world. The Times, South Africa

MARIKO Watanabe admits she could have chosen a better time to take up baking. This week, when the Tokyo housewife visited her local Ito-Yokado supermarket to buy butter to make a cake, she found the shelves bare. — The Age, Australia

Hungry North Koreans face the worst food shortage in years at a time when the North’s worsening relations with South Korea reduce the chances of the North acquiring aid. — The Hankyoreh, South Korea

Perhaps most eye-opening and informative, however, was an article by Dr. Arthur Robinson which appeared in Human Events:

And so it has begun. Word is beginning to spill into the news of food riots and starvation in poor countries, as a result of shortages and the resulting high prices for grain. This suffering is a direct result of the unprincipled actions of self-interested people in developed countries who are promulgating the scientifically refuted myth of human-caused global warming.

Dr. Robinson confirmed what I’ve believed all along: Global Warming Is A Myth — and it’s the root of the food problem.

Global warming could lead to higher rates of skin cancer by amplifying the harmful effects of the sun’s rays, scientists said.

New evidence suggests that the same amount of sunshine becomes more likely to trigger cancer as temperature rises.
