With each day Hillary Clinton stays in the race and remains like a dark cloud casting a shadow over Barack Obama’s nomination hopes, Republican John McCain’s chances of victory increase.
Clinton’s defeat of Obama in yesterday’s Pennsylvania Primary leaves most conservatives — and McCain — hoping the battle between the Democratic Party presidential candidates won’t be decided for another four months (i.e., when it reaches the convention floor in Denver). Such a script will serve the default-Republican nominee well, since a fat bank account is something he lacks.
While Obama began the month of April with $42 million in the bank for the primary and Clinton had $9.3 million for the primary, according to a Washington Post report yesterday, McCain began the month with $11.6 million in the bank. Noteworthy, however, is the fact that he raised $15 million in March — a record month for his 2008 campaign.

Hillary’s victory yesterday in Pennsylvania bodes well for McCain.
I admit it….I love that the Democratic Party is having such a difficult time in this primary. The dog-and-pony show is wearisome, but I’m enjoying watching the damage being done.
