Gore Ducks, as a Backlash Builds Against Biofuels

Josh Gerstein’s article in today’s New York Sun, the subhead of which appears above, comes one year to the week after I published highlights of an interview I conducted with Al Gore. That interview, I now believe, might go down in history as having signaled the beginning of the end of Gore’s climate crisis misadventure.

During the interview, published as a post on the eve of Earth Day 2007, the former vice president-turned author, movie star and global warming activist discussed with me his then-soon-to-be-published book, The Tipper Point: How a Little Change Can Make a Big Difference.

Not surprisingly, the book remains unpublished as of this posting, leading me to believe Gore’s attempt to fuel — and, in turn, capitalize upon — global warming alarmism for fun and profit has finally reached its apex.

With more and more blame for skyrocketing food and fuel prices being placed on the push for biofuels, the “inconvenient truth” is this: Gore’s foray into scaring the world green is likely to go the way of goldfish swallowing, pet rocks. In other words, it will be remembered as just another passing fad.

Revisit my post, Earth Day: Gore Discusses New Book, ‘Tipper Point’, and judge for yourself whether or not you agree with my contention and think the interview — albeit fictitious — marked the beginning of the end of Gore’s green empire.
