In much the same manner as Al-Qaeda is said to have highly-trained agents in position on American soil and awaiting orders to launch strikes against the United States, a recent news report leads me to conclude that Republican Ron Paul’s presidential campaign appears to have “sleeper cells” ready to wage the mother of all convention floor battles against the nomination of John McCain.

An article in the Los Angeles Times this morning began with this ominous observation:

Virtually all the nation’s political attention in recent weeks has focused on the compelling state-by-state presidential nomination struggle between two Democrats and the potential for party-splitting strife over there.

But in the meantime, quietly, largely under the radar of most people, the forces of Rep. Ron Paul have been organizing across the country to stage an embarrassing public revolt against Sen. John McCain when Republicans gather for their national convention in St. Paul at the beginning of September.

As a result of this breaking news, I’ve decided to reintroduce the RON PAUL SLEEPER CELL MEMBER (left) and RON PAUL SLEEPER CELL ORGANIZER (right) clothing lines and am challenging Ron Paul supporters to wear one or the other as appropriate so that all combatants at the Republican National Convention are clearly identified. UDPATE 3/19/09: The post above was mentioned in a post, Yikes, I Might Be Part of the Militia Movement! (Updated), published yesterday that caught the attention of the people at Fox News today.
