Yesterday, I published a post about Hardee’s® latest foray into high-calorie fast-food fare. In discussing the fast-food chain’s penchant for creating controversy, however, I declined to mention the company’s 2006 television spot featuring Paris Hilton (at right). I mention that ad today for reasons other than the potential traffic bump the socialite’s name might give this blog: Recently, another well-known company chose to copy it.
Japanese carmaker Subaru employs a slightly different approach that adds more weight to their commercial’s punch. Instead of using a scantilly-clad blonde to wash their vehicle, they used several larger individuals, all of whom are wearing almost nothing.
Take a look at the commercial (below) and see if you think Subaru’s claim — “Japanese SUVs just got a little sexier.” — is true.
