I believe strongly that God doesn't make mistakes and that so-called "gender identity issues' are products of doctors, sociologists and others who see in them opportunities to benefit financially. I need not walk a couple of blocks in those shoes.

Out of pure curiousity, what would make such a procedure deemed 'barbaric?'

If you truly knew and understood for one moment what a child with gender identity issues were going through - you may repeal your thoughts. "That, my friends, is good news."

How could you be so sure?

I am a Missouri native, born and bred a conservative farm-family Catholic. But what I do realize is that no matter what you believe, keeping an open mind and attempting to understand the world around you - and what other people experience, feel, etc. - are far more important. And can often change how you feel on an issue.

Whether I believe you are "right" or "wrong" is not the point; rather, it is to ask you simply to try and walk a couple blocks in the shoes of a kid with a gender identity disorder.

I welcome your commentary.
