As a former Air Force officer, I still get chills when I see images similar to the one above of graduation ceremonies at any of the United States military service academies. Unique among graduation ceremonies on college campuses across the country, graduation from a service academy leads to guaranteed employment that, quite possibly, might cost the graduate his or her life.
