Twelve months ago, I published a post about Vaclav Klaus’ call for a rational debate on global warming. Yesterday, according to a report in The Earth Times, the president of the Czech Republic has taken his call one step further by challenging former vice president Al Gore to a debate:
“I many times tried to talk to have a public exchange of views with him, and he’s not too much willing to make such a conversation,” Klaus said. “So I’m ready to do it.”
The call comes as Klaus is in the United States promoting the English version of his book, Blue Planet in Green Shackles, that argues environmentalism poses a threat to basic human freedoms.
Good luck finding AlGore, Mr. Klaus! I suspect he’s locked in a cabin somewhere in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, hoping the thick clouds of global warming doubt looming over his fear-mongering parade pass soon so he can come out of hiding.

I guess Gore is tucked away somewhere studying on how Dinosaur cars caused the ice to melt away during our three or four previous ice ages…
