Though I haven’t offered much coverage of this month’s flooding of the Mississippi and Missouri Rivers, I did get outside today and take a few shots from the car while driving north on Highway 79 near Winfield, Mo. Above and below are shots of fields under water on the east side of the roadway.

Some of the flooding mess is easily avoidable – DON’T BUILD ON A FLOOD PLAIN!!!!
