Photo from Wesley Clark Collection Sparks Scandal

July 4th, 2008 · 2 Comments

In a video released today, it was revealed that Gen. Wesley Clark (USA, Ret.) has made copies of a controversial photo of John McCain available for purchase by Democratic Party donors via the DNC Gift Shop.

This photo, according to Gen. Wesley Clark, shows what living conditions were really like for John McCain at the Hanoi Hilton.

The photo above, from Clark’s personal collection, is described by the retired Army general as showing “what life was really like for then-prisoner of war John McCain inside the Hanoi Hilton” and stands in stark contrast to the official military photo of McCain (below) which the Arizona senator says shows how he spent most of  his time while imprisoned — when he wasn’t being tortured, that is.

Did the retired four-star general really stoop to such gutter-ball tactics in his attempt to ensure a Barack Obama in November? Watch the video and decide for yourself.
