The Liberty Bell got its name 232 years ago after it was used to call the citizens of Philadelphia together to hear the Declaration of Independence read out loud for the first time. Today, I can think of at least 435 other “bells” that need to be rung — or, better yet, replaced — in Washington, D.C. Why? Among other things, because they’re taxing us to death. The video below shows an attendee at a recent John McCain rally in Denver explaining the situation well.

What the lady in the video didn’t say is that we need either a flat tax or a national sales tax. Anything would be better than the existing tax system. For more details, read Video Compares Flat, National Sales Tax.
