It appears the North Dakota corn ethanol industry “shucks.” According to a report this morning in the Grand Forks Herald newspaper, the developer of a 100-million gallon ethanol plant in the Spiritwood Energy Park near Jamestown, N.D., says the plant is on hold.
Rob at Say Anything Blog points out the fact that this is the third ethanol plant in North Dakota that has either shut its doors or halted construction this year alone. He goes on to ask two rhetorical questions, “Aren’t you glad now that the politicians spent your tax dollars on subsidizing the development of this fuel? And, in some instances, mandating its use?”
I, for one, am not glad at all. As stated in a Jan. 11 post about this alternative fuels fiasco, “I know it when I see it! Corn ethanol is cornography!“
