While several noteworthy anniversaries passed over the weekend, they received scant attention in the news media; therefore, I’m going to list those anniversaries below for good measure:
July 19, 2007 — The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed above 14,000 for the first time in history.
July 20, 1993 — The 15th anniversary of the alleged suicide death of Hillary Clinton White House aide Vince Foster came and went Saturday.
July 20, 1988 – The Democratic National Convention in Atlanta nominated Michael Dukakis for president and Lloyd Bentsen for vice president.
