1. When the drillling starts, new refineries will be built also. It will take about 3 years for the first of the new oil to be processed into gasoline.

2. People saying that it will take 10 to 20 years are repeating the words of politicians.

3. When Predsident Bust announced the lift of the drilling ban from the Executive side, the price of oil on the market immediately started dropping (it had actually already dropped a little because of supply and demand, but it started droppping more sharply after Bush's announcement). When and if Congress removes the ban, the price will drop more (because of world speculation). If Congress blocks the drilling, the price will go back up (depending on supply and demand).

4. The advancements in oil drilling have removed the concerns for environmental safety.

5. Take time to investigate the soicialist agenda of the environmental groups. The founder of the Green Movement retired because of the soicialist activists' involvement. Please investigate and look for the truth of these things.

6. I see people repeating the words of politicians. I see people repeating the words of reporters that repeat the words of politicians. Please learn to think for yourself and to see past idiocy.

All voters to to get informed on this issue and I found this aricle to be concise and to the point:

http://courtney.house.gov/UploadedFiles/Natural%20Resources%20energy%20report.pdf

Drill Now is transparent political pandering that will accomplish little except to destroy our coastlines. But if the Republicans really want it, bring it on. Where will the drilling take place? Mostly in red states. I say drill them until they can't take it anymore. Line their coasts with rigs as far as the eye can see. Gas will still be $4 a gallon (or more). But they can have the insane satisfaction of losing yet another election while completely destroying their own beaches. Maybe then they'll wake up. But it will be too late.

As billionaire oilman T. Boone Pickens said, "we can't drill our way out of this. " It's time to kick the oil junkies to the curb and switch to energy systems that improve our security and keep our money and jobs at home.

Besides, Bush's own DOE tells us drilling in Alaska will only drop the price 2 cents, 20 years in the future.

But why confuse the public with facts when the snake oil is still available.

Voters can always start recalls on their state and federal Senators and Reps if they do not do as the voters wish. Believe me in did not take very long to make things happen in Louisiana. And I think the Louisiana lawmakers went into shock. Gov Jindal certainly hopped to it to veto the offending payraise bill once two Recall petitions were filed on him..
