Nissan Corporation has upset some folks in the Middle East with their depiction of Arabs in a commercial that aired in Israel. Apparently, the ad shows a man in Arab garb getting angry over the fact that the Nissan car shown gets such good gas mileage that it will make a dent in his wealth portfolio.
I think Arabs who get upset over something so trivial ought to lighten up. What do you think?

Rasheed — I didn’t post this to slight “A-rabs” as you call them. Instead, I posted it to show how truly ridiculous was the reaction of many Arabs to this ad.

You really have to think about the context of this ad, though. Its a commercial aired in Israel that satirizes Arabs.
Had this ad aired in an Arab country, it would caused little, if any controversy. However, airing an ad satirizing Arabs in Israel is a completely different matter.
