John Edwards, the Democratic Party presidential candidate who withdrew from the race in January, admitted to ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff today that he did have an extra-marital affair with 42-year old Rielle Hunter. He claims, however, that he did not father the child that has been the focus of recent National Enquirer reports. The admission proves that Edwards lied repeatedly to reporters who inquired about such an affair during his now-failed presidential campaign. Details will be aired on ABC World News Tonight this evening.
