Ossetia, the Russian News & Information Agency uses several propaganda pieces (below) to paint a picture of events related to the conflict between Vladimir Putin’s Russia and the former Soviet state — and present U.S. ally — of Georgia. 22:07 07/08/2008 Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili said on Thursday he was prepared to enter into “any kind of talks,” in order to find a solution to the current Georgian-South Ossetian conflict.

Russian peacekeepers report illegal flights over S. Ossetia
12:21 07/08/2008 Russian peacekeepers in the Georgian-South Ossetian conflict zone said on Thursday they had identified at least eight illegal flights over Georgia’s breakaway region overnight.
