Joseph Farah Says Its Time for ‘None of the Above’

August 13th, 2008 · 3 Comments

In a news release today, World Net Daily founder Joseph Farah explains that he is forsaking John McCain and says a Republican’s victory will be worse than one by Democrat Barack Obama:

WASHINGTON, Aug. 13 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — Think that John McCain and Barack Obama are looking out for your best interests? Think again! The only interests our major party candidates care about are their own — and those of their buddies and financial contributors (both foreign and domestic). Make no mistake — promoting either into the presidency means a further loss of our freedoms. And once taken away those freedoms won’t be returned without a fight, according to a new book by Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily.com.

In None of the Above: Why 2008 is the year to cast the ultimate vote, Farah says it’s time for every American who cares about this great nation to take their future back and:

Act like citizens instead of subjects by reclaiming the rights guaranteed in the Constitution.

Reject a political system that’s corrupt and rotten to the core.

Reject the government’s pervasive, insidious, destructive, and illegal encroachment into every aspect of our lives.

Only a revolt, Farah says, a total rejection of business as usual, stands a chance of correcting our nation’s downhill side. In None of the Above, Farah explains how Americans can reassert their rights and return this great nation to its glory, while limiting the government’s intrusion into our lives and businesses.

Without having had the luxury of reading None of the Above, I can only speculate as to the specific steps the author is suggesting Americans take. My suspicion is that the steps he recommends will be worthy of much thoughtful and serious consideration. To think, however, that an Obama victory might be better than
one by McCain is truly frightening.

Mr. Farah is a hack at best.

The Libertarian Party has had ‘None of the Above’ as part of its ballot for well over 20 years and Mr. Farah is stealing the idea and repackaging it as his own.

While his book will most likely have some very good information in it concerning why neither of the candidates, Obama or McCain are good for this nation, that information probably came from Libertarians, Ron Paul Republicans and Conservative Democrats.

The ‘war’ in Iraq has been shown to be a hoax and Mr. Farah can no longer hide behind the lies the Bush White House came up with to start it in the first place.

The Republicans are fiscally conservative is the biggest joke of the last eight years, so no one believes that mantra anymore.

The 1994 Contract with America shows to what lengths the Republican elite will go, to win votes.

Medicare Part D is a firm indicator that reducing the overall size of the Federal Government isn’t a main stay of the Republican Platform.

The only thing I can think of that will be in Mr. Farah’s book is a rehashing of speeches by Rep. Ron Paul over the last 30 years. That the Federal Government ignores the Constitution on a regular basis.

That the Federal Reserve has damaged our economy more than any other institution and placed Americans’ on the cusp of a depression.

And that Mr. Farah states we need a revolution is old news. Those that supported Rep. Paul, contributed to his campaign, went to state conventions, become precinct chairs and state delegates knowing the fight was an uphill battle.
Yet Mr. Farah lambasted Rep. Paul at ever turn.

If he is trying to find perfection in a candidate, he isn’t going to find one but Rep. Paul came the closest. Even Duncan Hunter, his presumed candidate would and did ignore the constitution on a regular basis.

Mr. Farah’s only beef with Rep. Paul was his stand on Islamo-Fascism, and now we find that ALL the reasons for going to war with Iraq were lies and gigantic fabrications.

What will Mr. Farah state in his book to be released? Most likely he will still state we need to kill all Muslims, that we must continue to occupy Iraq for America’s benefit and that McCain / Obama just aren’t doing it the right way.

Unless Mr. Farah in the last 3 months has had some form of epiphany, he book will be nothing more than a regurgitation of his column.

Oh, he might throw in some of the issues real conservatives have been harping about when it comes to J. McCain:

    Womanizer
    Adulterer
    Non War Hero
    Definitely NOT conservative
    Keating Five
    Anger Management Issues
    McCain-Feingold
    McCain-Kennedy

But I find it highly unlikely that Mr. Farah will give his readers anything that couldn’t have already found via, reddit.com, digg.com or google.com.

Don’t bother paying for the book, it won’t be worth it.
