While watching coverage of the Democratic National Convention this afternoon, I learned that Barack Obama will deliver his nomination acceptance speech exactly 45 years to the day after Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his famous “I Have a Dream” speech.
Unlike Dr. King’s 1962 speech, which was delivered upon the steps of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C., the presumptive Democratic Party presidential nominee’s oratory effort will be delivered Thursday night at Denver’s Invesco Field during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. Makes me wonder whether or not Obama will be able to see any of the 50 Denver-area billboards bearing Dr. King’s likeness from the platform?

Unfortunately for the dems and Obama Party, King spoke of colorblindness when looking at a person. This was hardly what happened during the primaries. 90% of the black vote? Hmmm? Nevermind that the man was inexperienced and unvetted.
