During the speech Hillary Clinton delivered last night at the Democratic National Convention in Denver, she used a newly-created slogan — “No way, no how, no McCain” — in a half-hearted jab at the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, John McCain.

If the runner-up in the Democratic Party presidential race had said what she really wanted to during her speech at the Pepsi Center, she would have offered this less-than-lukewarm endorsement of Barack Obama:

“No way, no how…
