Philadelphia Daily News contributor Fatimah Ali appears to be trying to scare the nation into voting for the Democratic Party ticket of Barack Obama and Joe Biden.
In an article published today, she predicts a John McCain victory in November will result in “a full-fledged race and class war, fueled by a deflated and depressed country, soaring crime, homelessness – and hopelessness!”
My guess is that Ali is merely the pen name being used by Michelle Obama to vent her frustrations about America. After all, it was only two months ago that the proud, yet frustrated wife of the senator from Illinois finally admitted to being proud of this country. And, unable to say what she really wants to say on the campaign trail, the newspaper gig is likely her only outlet for the time being.

Being a typical working, lower middleclass tax-paying, voting American, I take a very dim view of the politics of intimidation and threats. Granted, idiots and lowlifes think the tactic works (example, union thugs keeping order amongst cowed rank and file), and among some of the populace, it will.
Then again, think 9/11: was the majority of the populace cowed and moved to appeasement-orientation, by a few Islamofascists? I think not.
And it won’t work now. Oblahblah surrogates or allies who try it — like Fatheadtima Ali — will get a strong counterreaction from Americans who will not tolerate being threatened and intimidated with “Vote Obama or You’ll Start A Race War!”. That kinda threat is a guaranteed loser in November, and one reason among many that socialism remains a losing proposition among freedom-loving people.

And the fear of race wars should make all voters cast their ballots for Obama? Puhleeze!
Spain went down a similar route of appeasement after the Madrid bombings.
