Though I had never read Us Weekly, I had to look at it after allegations of blatant anti-Republican bias were brought to my attention this morning by the folks at Fox News Channel’s Fox & Friends program.
I went online and found the two covers of the weekly rag that bills its offerings as the “hottest celebrity news, photos, fashion and video from Hollywood.” The bias was impossible to miss.
Above left is the cover of the current issue, showing John McCain running mate Sarah Palin holding her baby and appearing under a large-type headline that reads, BABIES, LIES & SCANDAL. Above right is the cover of the June 19 issue which features Barack Obama and his wife Michelle in a loving embrace with the headline, Why Barack Loves Her, superimposed on top of the image.
While I’m all in favor of First Amendment freedoms, I’m also in favor of making sure members of the voting public receive clear, honest and unadulterated information about the presidential choices that will appear on ballots in November. Because Us Weekly is owned by Jann Wenner, a big-time Obama supporter who also founded Rolling Stone, the latter is not going to happen if left up to him. Therefore, conservative voters should consider taking other steps such as this one, offered by Michelle Malkin:
The next time you’re waiting at the grocery stands and tempted to buy Us magazine, stop and think again. Unless you’re buying it for oppo research, you may not want to put money in the pockets of rabid partisans who have turned their gossip rag into a propaganda arm for the Democrat Party.
Good advice, Michelle, about another example of why I DON’T LISTEN TO HOLLYWOOD!

I haven’t read Us Rag, and now seeing the obvious bias, I can guaranfreakin’tee I won’t waste a penny on such a poorly scripted, badly written, Leftist suck-up ragazine of dubious antecedence and worse in the fact department.

Just watch….The double standard is going to become even more “in your face.” Hopefully, this will damage BHO’s campaign.

A few thousand cancellations won’t make a difference to US magazine. If you want their attention, boycott their advertisers.

You must be kidding! You really look at US magazine for your political reporting? Might as well believe that drug addict Rush. Aren’t you propping up a straw man so you can have something to shoot at? Want a ride on my Swiftboat, anyone?

Tim — I don’t believe your boat is seaworthy, and neither is your candidate.

Anybody who bases there political opinions on an “Us” cover shouldn’t vote in the first place.

Julien — Sadly, Obama’s election-day victory proves that a lot of uninformed people must have based their votes on publications like “Us.” Otherwise, he would never have won.

Let’s get one thing clear…Any democrat would have won the election. Obama is a fraud
