Bush really has no one on his side. The press has always hated him and conservatives aren't going to waste their efforts supporting a lame duck. But I daresay, if he were running for re-election he'd probably lose but also probably by less than 5 percentage points. I have my problems with him (vetoing a spending bill every now and then would have been nice!) but I'd vote for him again in a heartbeat over Al "Fraud Science" Gore and John Kerry.
