I noticed it a few weeks ago. At the time the Sooners were ranked 2d or 3d and had just put a beat down on Washington, at Washington. This was their third straight win by three TDs or more. Despite this they received barely a mention on the recap of ESPN College Game Day . Last week, after USC lost and the Sooners beat TCU, they got a short mention on the Game Day recap, but nothing like what would be expected of a team poised to take over the #1 spot in the rankings. Here's my theory about the lack of coverage by ESPN: The Sooners and the Big 12 is affiliated with ESPN's mortal enemy, Fox Sports. Promoting OU, or for that matter any other Big 12 squad is BAD FOR ESPN'S TV RATINGS. I hope I'm proven wrong , but we'll see.
