Poll results released Friday by the folks at Sacred Heart University revealed surprising findings about the differences between the way Americans feel about President George W. Bush and the way they feel about his policies. Today, however, new poll results from the Fairfield, Conn., school’s polling institute offer few surprises but help to explain Sarah Palin’s meteoric rise in popularity.
A new national poll conducted by SHU found fewer than one-quarter of Americans surveyed (22.4 percent) held a very or somewhat favorable opinion of the job the United States Congress is doing. Another 70.5 percent held a somewhat or very unfavorable opinion. Some, 7.1 percent, were unsure.
