Rush Limbaugh mentioned the video below on his show today. “Dear Mr. Obama” features an Iraq War vet — I’m told his name is Joe Cook — giving Barack Obama a lesson in freedom and what it means to him and to the Iraqi people.
He begins by saying, “Having spent 12 months in the Iraq theater, I can promise you this was not a mistake.”
Toward the end, he chides the Democratic Party presidential nominee by saying, “When you call the Iraq War a mistake, you disrespect the service and the sacrifice of everyone who has died promoting freedom.”
He follows by saying, “Freedom carries with it a price,” and throwing in a plug for his presidential candidate, Republican John McCain.

Liberal disrespect for the military is what it is, and hasn’t been much different since Vietnam. Obama’s papering over of his liberalism is too thinly done, to cover his true distain for it. Why else would he publically advocate a civilian service force — more Americorp crap and his “like Jesus” community organizing crap — at the cost of our real guarantors of American freedom and liberty, the US Military. Where do you think the money for his civilian corps is going to come from?
I wish the name of the featured Iraqi war vet was included, so I could thank him directly. Instead, I’ll just thank him as is — and all of his fellow soldiers, Marines, airmen/women and Navy — for their service and knowing just what IS at stake on the anniversary of 9/11. Something Obama, Biden, Pelosi, Reid, Clinton, et al will never get, unless perhaps Islamofascist bayonets are poised at their throats. Then, it’ll be too late. Lenin had a phrase for you: “useful idiots”.

The young veterans name is Army Spec. Joe Cook?. As of midnight today 9-11-2008, it looks like Rush’s plug for this great young man’s video has jumped by over 1.5 million more views since we first viewed it this morning! This has moved this video to number 1 this month
