Phil -- Admit it, your bias is showing. You went into the interview with your mind made up about who you would vote for. As for VPs, both Palin and I looked back well beyond 30 years, avoiding the immediate-gratification mindset so ingrained in many -- perhaps yourself -- today. Thanks for posting though.

Palin was terrible. I'm sorry, but she was. She appeared nervous, used that whiney annoying tone, and said, "Charlie" in every sentence to the point of instilling madness.
And where you say this: "As Palin said, most of the Americans who went on to serve as vice presidents of the United States had never met a foreign head of state before taking office."
It simply isn't based in fact, at least not going back the past 30 years. Dick Cheney was secretary of defense before he was vice president.
Al Gore was a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee and was a part of many congressional delegations to foreign countries. It was the same for Dan Qualyle, who lacked Gore's credentials but also sat on the Senate Armed Services Committee.
Before Quayle, George H.W. Bush was an envoy to China and the head of the CIA, and Walter Mondale was a senator for 16 years before becoming vice president, and was Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Nice try though :-)
Tanks, but no tanks, to Sarah Palin and John Bush.

Actually by not knowing the Bush doctrine chapter and verse, Governor Palin gave further evidence that she and McCain are not 4 more years of Bush.
She also separated herself from the Obama white flag surrender doctrine.
Sarah Palin rightly proclaimed diplomacy first but defended Israels' right to defend themselves which is their equivalent of the Bush doctrine, and showed she would stand up for our allies big or small even against a big bully like Putin.
Charlie Gibson left out the part of the Bush doctrine that is you harbor a terrorist, you are as culpable as the terrorist.
SO the important question is what is the McCain-Palin doctrine, not what was the Bush doctrine.
BTW, the only time Bush gets any credit is on the Sept 11 anniversary but he has kept America safe 24x7 365 days a year for 7 years. That trumps his inability to recognize veto power and tendency to apply his autograph to any pork barrel bill sent his way.

But Charlie won't hang his head in liberal shame; liberals HAVE NO SHAME. The lies about Palin's Down Syndrome son (reportedly her daughter's son) and the 'sambo/bitch' comments, made up and spread by flamingly dishonests liberal blogs, are proof positive that liberals HAVE NO SHAME. And just as they'll give Oblahblah a pass on his open, unmitigated lies ("can't afford an apartment near Columbia", while making a seven figure salary...what a bonehead).
